Sadly, through much of the history of modern psychological treatment, spirituality has been looked down upon and ignored.
Surveys have shown that mental health professionals on average are more biased against faith traditions than most other professions.
However, there have always been some practitioners who recognize the importance of spiritual beliefs and practice in the lives of our patients, and in the work we do with them to help find healing and wholeness.
