The global pandemic of COVID-19 has generated a lot of uncertainty for all of us.
We're doing our best to adapt our practice to current realities, while understanding that now more than ever people need support, sometimes including psychological treatment. We care deeply about the struggles all of humanity faces in this difficult time, and we want to do our part to help, which will no doubt evolve over the following weeks. For now, our response will include the following:
In keeping with Government regulations and guidelines for physical distancing, our office will be closed to the public, and all of our assessment and therapy sessions will be offered by secure, encrypted, videoconferencing until further notice. While we are able to provide services across distances, we will continue to limit our practice to people currently located in the Province of Ontario.
We are accepting some new patients on a limited basis, however, we will be prioritizing referrals of individuals who are first responders, health care workers, and those on the front line of fighting the global pandemic.
There may be longer than typical delays in returning phone calls, completing certain paperwork, and responding to emails. We appreciate your patience as we try our best to keep up with providing services in a way that is sustainable for us as providers.
Coming soon, we will be adding resources that people can access to assist each other in coping with the challenges of isolation, uncertainty, and navigating life in the current reality.
