About Dr. David Reist


Dr. David Reist graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Urban Studies from the University of Toronto. It was working in mental health crisis intervention during those years that confirmed a deep sense of calling to continue studies and work in the field of clinical psychology. 

Dr. Reist moved to Dayton, Ohio, USA, to attend the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University, where he completed his Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.). 

Over the course of training he worked in diverse settings including an inner-city Detroit hospital, a cancer centre, a sleep clinic, a university counseling centre, and a treatment program for male perpetrators of domestic violence. As a final step in his training, Dr. Reist came to London, Ontario for an APA/CPA accredited internship in Behavioral Medicine at London Health Sciences Centre, and worked with patients in cardiac rehabilitation, chronic pain management, epilepsy, sleep disorders, pediatric oncology, and in-patient psychiatry. 

After completing his internship, Dr. Reist began work in private practice and became registered in the province of Ontario as a Psychologist. He is deemed competent to practice in the areas of Clinical, Health, and Rehabilitation Psychology by the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He is a member of the Ontario Psychological Association, and the London Regional Psychological Association.
